“I wear 100 hats at all times which is challenging but keeps my day-to-day interesting.”

Tell us about where you work and what you do there.

I’m the founder of fine jewelry brand AARYAH. I actually started my career in beauty, but have always loved the jewelry space and knew it was my calling. As a founder, I wear 100 hats at all times, which is challenging at times but keeps my day to day interesting.

How would you describe yourself?

I’d say while I do seem extroverted, I am secretly an introvert. I love my alone time and spend my weekends decompressing and resetting my body and mind by practicing yoga and letting my body dictate how my day flows.

What is your leadership style?

My leadership skills have been inherited from my mentors who helped me excel in my past roles. I like to lead by empowering my team through autonomy but always keep an open door for questions.

What do you think has been your biggest professional success so far?

For me, it’s finally finding a balance between running a successful brand and being present in my personal life.

What goals do you have for 2021?

My goal is to continue to build our brand and be able to virtually create the same experience for our community that we do in person.

What do you think is the next big trend in eCommerce?

Creating a very strong but equal omnichannel experience. While your digital footprint is very important today, it is equally important to create a physical touchpoint for customers to engage with your product.

Name an eCommerce brand you admire and why.

The Pangaia — I love the way they’ve positioned their brand as a premium offering without hurting the planet. I love that more luxury brands are being conscious of their footprint and finding ways to implement sustainable practices while maintaining their quality and heritage.

What do you geek out over?

I geek out over learning about people’s life experience and what makes them who they are today. You will also find me at a geeking out at traditional fragrance stores. I am such a sucker for all things scented.
