Tell us about your company and role.
I am the Chief Marketing and Digital Officer at ThirdLove, a brand solving all types of bra-blems with better fitting more comfortable bras (and undies) in 60+ sizes including exclusive half cups.
How would you describe yourself?
I’m professionally driven, high energy, always striving for the best, data junkie, flexible, and love retail. Personally, I’m pretty athletic, love running, love to travel, and enjoy spending time with my family.
What qualities does an effective marketer need to have?
An effective marketer today has to be data driven, understand how to balance the art (creative) and science (analytics), and innovate continuously. Marketing has dramatically changed over the last few years and marketers need to be flexible to change too.
What has been your biggest professional success so far?
Launching my own company several years ago! This was an incredible experience and taught me so much about retail, eCommerce and marketing.
What causes are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about children’s causes. I work with an organization that brings enrichment and extracurricular activities to underprivileged children. All children should have the same access to education and enrichment activities.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing eCommerce brands?
One of the biggest challenges facing eCommerce brands right now is the extreme competition in digital advertising. Entering the market is not hard and buying ads just requires cash. Companies are making short term decisions that are impacting the entire market. Making it very expensive to compete both in terms of ad placement but also customer share of wallet.
What's your favorite loyalty program or subscription offering from an eCommerce brand?
I am a beauty lover. I think Sephora and Ipsy have great programs.
What do you geek out over?
I geek out on news and the NYT games. I start my day by reading the news and I play the NYT games with my children as we wind down for the day.
