“I am as good as my team is.”

Tell us about where you work and what you do there.

I am a Sr. Principal at Accenture focusing on all things commerce. My main focus is solutioning and delivering the best implementation of commerce platforms, identifying areas of improvement, and working with clients on future roadmaps.

How would you describe yourself?

I am as good as my team is. I am strategic, creative, and a people person. Apart from that, I have many interests. I was part of many nonprofit organizations which focus on STEM growth and women empowerment and speaking at commerce-related conferences and events. Yoga, meditation, and reading are some of my constant interests. But my weekends are always for family.

What is your leadership style?

I am an “Advocate,” I stand for my team by being a mentor and a motivator, helping my team reach their goals while supporting them the best I can.

What do you think has been your biggest professional success so far?

Being awarded IEEE Sr. Member. Leading multiple global commerce implementations and working with global teams in Europe and Asia. Living in many different countries and adapting to different team cultures while driving successful deployments. Leading efforts for STEM education when possible for Chicago non-profits.

What goals do you have for 2021?

Stay grounded, learn, and balance. Explore areas of commerce growth and balancing work and life.

What do you think is the next big trend in eCommerce?

Conversational commerce. Less browsing, more natural conversation and social buying. And from 2020 lessons learnt, it will enable more convenience for at home purchases. Also hyper-personalization, focusing on the customer as an individual.

Name an eCommerce brand you admire and why.

I admire Patagonia, the brand stands for sustainability and conservation and this is something I am passionate about.

What do you geek out over?

Standing up eCommerce sites every other day (personal hobby) and owning a domain-a-day for personal projects.
