Tell us about where you work and what you do there.
I am a Senior Director in the Salesforce practice at Slalom and lead the B2C and B2B global commerce practices. Over the last two years, I initiated and grew our B2C commerce practice with impressive results of 133% beyond our goals. In this same timeframe, I scaled our B2B practice, doubling both in size of the team and revenue, and exceeding our goals by 124%. These results, while important, are even more impactful when you couple them with the amazing reputation we have built with our clients with notable success at Groupe Dynamite and Ashley Stewart as examples of true partnership.
I am most proud of the team I have been able to build, attracting some of the greatest commerce talent in the Salesforce space and creating a team culture where individuals thrive.
How would you describe yourself?
I am energetic and always ready to dive into a new challenge. I am a wife and stepmother to three strong, young women who are successful business leaders and amazing people. I love to travel with my family and create new memories, cook, nurture my circle, and continue to learn and grow as a strong role model for our girls.
What is your leadership style?
I am an engaged and supportive leader who encourages my team to be their best. I am not afraid to dive in when needed or support someone through a challenge that stretches their skills. I create long-lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike, built on a strong foundation of trust and transparency. I love seeing that my contributions yield positive change and impact others as I guide and encourage their growth. I find joy engaging with my team everyday, whether it’s sales cycles, conducting retrospectives that lead to process improvements, or celebrating with the team as we exceed our goals!
What do you think has been your biggest professional success so far?
I think being a role model for other strong, diverse female leaders in tech is something I am incredibly proud of. I am a builder, and being able to start a practice from inception to excellence has been a wonderful experience for me at Slalom since 2019.
What goals do you have for 2022?
I will be embarking on a new role in 2022, which will give me the opportunity to take on leadership of new, emerging technologies. I am excited to apply my experience and lessons learned to scale these new capabilities towards incredible milestones. I am also excited to connect in person again with people as I am a very social being and miss the ability to bond over fun experiences!
What do you think is the next big trend in eCommerce?
I think we will see an increase in social and AI-driven customer buying experiences across the board. I also believe that AR will be more commonplace with the creation of more interactive experiences. Personalization will continue to be a trend and improve as we capture and learn more about the full customer journey.
Name an eCommerce brand you admire and why.
I personally love the ease of Nordstrom as it is still a stellar user experience. Patagonia is another favorite of mine as the site does a fantastic job generating excitement and I appreciate how this brand is focused on sustainability and uses customer content to showcase authenticity. Pottery Barn is another great site as they have a great look book! Tarte also contains fun, interactive promotion experiences with a focus on social content that I think is unique.
What do you geek out over?
I am always excited to try a new recipe and entertain friends and family! I take a lot of pleasure in hosting events or even just a fun evening to connect with people.
