Tell us about your company and role.

I’m the Founder and the Chief Everything Officer at Qode Space.

How would you describe yourself?

I am sarcastic, humorous, approachable, and straight forward. I am an ESFJ (just like Taylor Swift), I’m a super-connector, always on the lookout to network and make new friends. I am a mother, a friend, a sister, a wife, a mentor, an executive-coach (or “office-therapist”), and most importantly a carpool-karaoke enthusiast. I’m Taiwanese and Australian (also known as a third-culture-kid), and I am full of great ideas.

What qualities do you think a successful founder needs to have?

Self-awareness, resilience, and adaptability.

What has been your biggest professional success so far?

Being everything I represent today: a female, AAPI Web Solutions agency owner, being SEEN and RECOGNISED as a solution architect by trusted enterprise brands, and TRUSTED by colleagues and women in the same tech space as a leader.

What causes are you most passionate about?

Gender Equality in opportunities within STEM occupations, especially tech. Minorities being represented in leadership roles in tech. AAPI founders support and leadership opportunities in general. And everything to do with women’s reproductive rights (maternity leave, paid leave, health care support).

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing eCommerce brands?

Definitely the oversaturated market where brands have to work a lot harder to differentiate themselves and stand out. Ongoing supply chain disruptions is another big one. Changing customer expectations and implications for user experience, and rising advertising costs.

What's your favorite loyalty program or subscription offering from an eCommerce brand?

If I say anyone outside of Yotpo, will I still get this award? Just kidding, it really is Yotpo.

What do you geek out over?

Leadership Business Assessment, Ikigai tests, personality tests, “manage-up” conversation, in-office bullying, office discrimination, and DOGS.
