Tell us about your company and role.
I recently finished my role at Cocokind as a Senior Designer and just started at Dollar Shave Club as their Associate Creative Director! Excited to play a role in their revamped creative strategy to bring humor and personality back to the brand!
How would you describe yourself?
I’m a Midwest-born, Colorado-based designer and art director specializing in all things CPG. I’m obsessed with crafting user experiences that are human-centered and make people feel GOOD. When I’m not pushing pixels, I love to hike, read, attend live concerts, spend too much on tattoos, and love my dog, Ellie!
What qualities do you think an innovator needs to have?
From a design lens, adaptability! Everything we do today both personally and professionally moves 1000 miles a minute. Being your team’s creative Swiss Army Knife allows you to thrive as trends evolve, audience and user preferences shift, and technology changes.
What has been your biggest professional success so far?
Helping Cocokind cultivate a community-focused brand identity that resonates with its beloved audience. When I joined the team, I quickly realized that Cocokind’s success wasn’t just about selling skincare products — it was about building a mission-driven community centered on honesty, education, and empowerment. Watching that community expand and blossom has been incredible to be a part of and I’m so excited to see what they do next.
What causes are you most passionate about?
Mental health in the digital age, especially how beauty filters and social media impact young people’s self-esteem.
Living in Colorado near the mountains and having spent lots of time in the woods of beautiful Minnesota, I’m drawn to brands that prioritize sustainability and champion the preservation of the environments we live in.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing eCommerce brands?
Creating a brand experience that feels human-centered in this tech-forward world. Brands that are creating real-world delight beyond the screen are what are continuously capturing my attention.
What's your favorite loyalty program or subscription offering from an eCommerce brand?
Currently, I’m eyeing revamping my Barkbox subscription. Their personalization, community engagement, surprise and delight strategies, and frictionless UX are all supported by a fun at-home unboxing experience – making it a 10/10 for both me and my dog Ellie.
What do you geek out over?
That brands can be a force for GOOD. We consume and consume and consume some more – why not make what we’re consuming meaningful and impactful?
