Tell us about where you work and what you do there.
As the Director of Retention and Community at Legends, I drive the strategy behind our email, SMS, and loyalty initiatives as well as oversee our community and grassroots building efforts.
How would you describe yourself?
I’ll try almost anything at least once! I love to travel, cook, hike, try new hobbies, go out to new restaurants, hang out with friends and family, watch horror movies, or binge watch “The Office” for the millionth time. My future husband and I have moved around quite a bit but are now settling back down in my southern CA hometown. Most days, you can usually find me hanging at home planning weekend adventures or making future travel plans!
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In ten years, I hope to be running my own digital marketing consulting business! While my main experience has been in retention, I’m ramping up on all performance channels and hope to be able to deliver across the digital landscape for future clients.
What do you think has been your biggest professional success so far?
My biggest professional success was probably making an overseas jump into a new area I had not quite focused on previously. I learned a lot about stakeholder management on an international level, gained new perspective by working with people whose backgrounds were vastly different from my own, and expanded my marketing skillset in the process — all while adjusting to being an expat living abroad! It was such a unique experience and I’m glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone.
What do you think is the next big trend in eCommerce?
I think there will be a continued push towards augmented reality so customers can truly envision what a purchase will look like on themselves or in their space!
Name an eCommerce brand you admire and why.
I love Lulu’s! The community engagement in their reviews platform is unmatched and helps inform so many purchases. Plus, their dresses and clothes in general are just so stinking cute.
What do you geek out over?
I love trying new things and dive deep into geek mode easily but if I had to choose something specific, outside of my general love of Target, I guess the interconnectedness of the MCU is WILD and each new movie and series continues to blow my mind.
