Tell us about your company and role.

I am currently the Global Head of Digital for FACEGYM. I started my career within fashion working for some incredible names such as Harrods and JOSEPH before moving into the world of skincare. I have been at FACEGYM for nearly three years now where I’ve been able to meet and work with some incredible people, all of whom have helped shape who I am today. We’re the OGs in facial fitness and our mission is to help transform your skin and give you the ultimate skin confidence. We may be a small team at the FACEGYM head office but we are definitely mighty! I am very excited to see what the future holds for this amazing brand!

How would you describe yourself?

I love working in a fast-paced environment and thrive off working under pressure. I am very much a people person and really enjoy being part of a tight knit team. In my personal life I love running, cooking, and traveling the world, with Italy being a firm favorite! Nothing better than a local bowl of fresh pasta and a large glass of red vino!

What qualities do you think a true innovator needs to have?

Confident, resilient, and passionate!

What has been your biggest professional success so far?

Being part of the growth of the eComm business at FACEGYM. When I took the role, it was quite a daunting move going from a large fashion brand to a startup but it is something I am now so grateful I had the opportunity to do. To think, when I joined the eComm team it only consisted of one person and the launch of the site was only in its infant stages. Now looking at where we are today, it is something I am incredibly proud of to say that I have been a part of the team from the start and the business has grown so significantly with the help of an incredible team and FACEGYM family who are truly the dream!

What causes are you most passionate about?

Global warming!

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing eCommerce brands?

Customer retention. In the current economic climate, retaining customers is more challenging than ever… from the ever-evolving expectations of the consumer to fierce competition in an oversaturated market with aggressive players and discounts. Customer loyalty is indeed a determining aspect of a business’s success.

What's your favorite loyalty program or subscription offering from an eCommerce brand?

Augustinus Bauder has nailed the subscription and membership offering in the luxury skincare market. They’ve built a solid foundation to believe in the products via evidence and trials coupled with the benefits of being a loyal customer, which has enabled them to scale the business so quickly and significantly.

What do you geek out over?

Excel spreadsheets. There is nothing more satisfying than having a well put together spreadsheet full of formulas to do the hard work for you!
